Think about it. The only real salvation is found i Jesus Christ – The King of Kings.
And salvation is only given by the Lord through his Mercy by beliving in his Son Jesus Christ.
If we add works – we undo Jesus offer on the cross.
But lets dive into scripture, and prove this to be truth.
Hebrews 10:26
“If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left”
Reading this scripture, many will argue, you can loose your salvation.
But it is not saying that, its emphasizing that Jesus then would have to suffer often, if we would need to be saved over and over again.
But Jesus came to die for our since Once for all. This verse is clearly taken out of context, so let us understand it in context.
Hebrews is talking to Jews. And its telling them how The Law was only a shadow of things to come.
That the yearly offerings will come to an end. And a final offering will come – that is Jesus Christ.
Hebrews 10:14
“For by one offering he has perfected forever them that are sanctified”
Hebrews 10:18
“Where there is forgiveness of these, there is no longer any offering for sin”
