Get saved today!

We are saved by faith alone!

It is a free gift from Jesus Christ, so that no man can boast. Entirely set apart from good works. We are made holy when we are born again.

How to be born again?

Repent of your wicked ways. Aknowledge that you are a sinner, and need a saviour. Accept Jesus sacrifice on the cross as atonement for your sins.

A way to do this is to get on your knees, and recite the Lords prayer. But you have to actually mean it. Secondly you should seek out likeminded people to guide you.

Our Father, which art in heaven,
Hallowed be thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy will be done in earth,
As it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
As we forgive them that trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
But deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom,
The power, and the glory,
For ever and ever.
Amen.

Common questions and misconseptions

Works was required of the jews not gentiles

Using proper hermaneutics, we understand that the jews were set apart, a chosen people of God, who required miracles. And they followed the law.

But Jesus fulfilled the law and we now have rest (sabbath) in Jesus. He who follows the law will be judged by the law. We who are born again have Gods law written in our hearts. And the two most important rules are:

  1. Love God with all your heart, soul and mind.
  2. Love thy neighbor as yourself.

Upon these two commandments rest the whole law.

We must ask ourselves as belivers. Are we loving? Are we patient? With our childeren, our brothers and sister and our parents.

God promises eternal life if we belive in his son Jesus Christ. And God promises Jesus that he shall loose none to him that was given.

A works based salvation, makes Jesus sacrifice on the cross – null and void. So if you belive works are required you dont trust the word of Jesus. And thats what salvation is about, trusting in our lord and saviour.

God our father in heaven – is a God of mercy. All he want is that you believe and trust in him. Give up your own ways and follow him.

In greek belive has a deeper meaning. It means turn from your ways and follow. Its not just a word, but an action.

So in Greek you only belive if you actually change your ways. Thats how others see that you belive. Its not just something you say.

A beliver might sin, but no longer lives in sin.

Jesus says he is working on us until the last day.

No! But after we are saved we can work on achiving the 5 crowns, to glorify God our father in heaven.

The Imperishable Crown (1 Corinthians 9:24-25): Awarded for self-discipline, Temperance, and overcoming the desires of the flesh.

The Crown of Rejoicing (1 Thessalonians 2:19; Philippians 4:1): Also known as the “soul-winner’s crown,” this is for those who lead others to Christ.

The Crown of Righteousness (2 Timothy 4:8): Promised to those who eagerly anticipate the return of Jesus.

The Crown of Glory (1 Peter 5:4): Bestowed upon pastors, elders, and spiritual leaders who shepherd the church faithfully.

The Crown of Life (James 1:12; Revelation 2:10): Given to believers who persevere through severe suffering, persecution, or temptation.

If we are truly loving we should also share the Gospel, since not following christ leads to eternal damnation.

We are all called to share the good news. While we might not all be evangelists. We all have gifts that can contribute to the sharing of the gospel.

People in your house should not be unaware of your new life in Christ. And your extended family, will surely notice.

If we lived a life boldly for satan. We can sertainly be bold for christ.

In Jude 1:3 and Timothy 6:12-16 we are called to fight for sound doctrine. We are called to fight the good fight. To rightly divide scripture. So that Gods word is not misrepresented. It is a spiritual battle against ichting ears and bad doctrine, and the antichrist spirit of this world.

This calls for study of the Word of God.

And this requires hermaneutics. Gods own rules for understanding the bible.

Hermaneutics are the guiding principles that God himself added to the Bible, for us rightly divide scriptures. (2 timothy 2:15).

Hermaneutic rules:

  • We must not take things out of context.
  • We must not read our own bias into the text (Eisegesis).
  • We must use exegesis to draw the historical, cultural and literary context to accurate understand the scriptures.
  • We must not assign new meanings to words other than the first defined meaning. Unless a new definition is defined.
  • We must understand that not everything is written to us (Who was the author writing to?)
  • If the Bible is silent on a subject – so are we. (1 Corinthians 4:6: “Do not go beyond what is written”).
  • We need to see if the Bible generally supports the doctrine. (2 timothy 3:16: All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness).
  • 2 witnesses: 2-3 witnesses are necessary to establish something, testimony or scriptures. (Deuteronomy 17:6 and 2 Corinthians 13:1).
